Internet shopping versus Brick and Mortar retail stores
I went to a couple of retail stores recently to pickup a few small items. Checkout took 30 minutes. These retail stores have multiple checkout lines but many of the cashiers have been laid off after the Holiday season. So the shopper pays the price by waiting in the checkout lane. On the internet you can shop multiple stores for many different products in the comfort of your home, office or while eating lunch at the local diner without wasting your precious time standing in a checkout line. You may argue that you get the product immediately when you shop at the brick and mortar stores and there’s no shipping. That’s true but you will pay sales tax which can be equivalent to the shipping cost. Our society seems to expect almost need instant gratification so if that’s what you need then there is no alternative other than driving from store to store to buy your product an take it home now. However, if you can reprogram your priorities and plan ahead you will save money and time by shopping on the internet. Spend your free time in a more enjoyable way, shop online.
